SYMPTOMS
========

Visual SourceSafe is not able to receive automation events from Visual Basic.

CAUSE
=====

An error in the type library causes this functionality to not work.

RESOLUTION
==========

At the present time the only way to receive automation events from Visual
SourceSafe is from a Visual C++ application.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the
beginning of this article. This problem was corrected Visual SourceSafe version
6.0 for Windows.
