SYMPTOMS
========
Computers with an OPTi Fire Star 82c700 chip set may not pass the "PCI IRQ
Routing Table Test" portion of the Windows Hardware Compatibility Test (HCT)
7.1. Error messages may include:
Error: Verifying IRQ Routing Link Values Error: Unknown Chipset. Cannot
Verify. Problems were encountered with this machine's IRQ Routing Table that
prevent it from being PC 97 Compliant.
The device may or may not function normally otherwise.
CAUSE
=====
Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2 (OSR2) does not recognize or correctly support
the OPTi Fire Star 82c700 chip set.
RESOLUTION
==========
STATUS
======
This problem no longer occurs in Windows 98. To resolve this problem, install
the current version of Windows. For information about the current version of
Windows, visit http://www.microsoft.com/windows.
