SYMPTOMS
========
When you attempt to connect to MSN, The Microsoft Network, you may receive the
following error message:
Error 604
CAUSE
=====
The MSN Dial-Up Networking connectoids may be damaged.
RESOLUTION
==========
Delete all the MSN connectoids, and then manually configure the MSN connection
settings. To do so, follow these steps:
1. Double-click My Computer.
2. Double-click Dial-Up Networking.
3. Right-click an MSN connectoid, and then click Delete. Repeat this step until
all MSN connectoids are deleted.
4. Close the Dial-Up Networking window.
5. Right-click the MSN icon on the desktop, and then click Connection Settings.
6. On the Dialing tab, next to the Phone Number box, click Phone Book.
7. Click the appropriate access number for your area, and then click OK.
8. On the Dialing tab, next to the Backup Number box, click Phone Book.
9. Click the appropriate backup access number for your area, click OK, and then
click OK again.
