SYMPTOMS
========

When you try to disconnect from MSN, The Microsoft Network, the modem may remain
connected to MSN.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if you connect to MSN using an Internet service provider
other than MSN, and you do not have the correct Dial-Up Networking options
enabled.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use either of the following methods:

Method 1
--------

NOTE: This method works only if you are using Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2,
Microsoft ISDN 1.1 Accelerator Pack, or MSN 2.5.

1. Double-click My Computer, and then double-click Dial-Up Networking.

2. Click Connections, and then click Settings.

3. Click the following check boxes to select them, and then click OK:
   - Show An Icon On Taskbar After Connected

   - Prompt For Information Before Dialing

   - Show A Confirmation Dialog After Connected


Method 2
--------

1. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Dial-Up
  Networking.

2. Double-click the Dial-Up Networking connection you use to connect to MSN.

3. If the connection is open, click Disconnect.
