SYMPTOMS
========

Microsoft Word may capitalize the first letter of inserted AutoCorrect text if
the inserted text starts a sentence.

CAUSE
=====

The "Capitalize first letter of sentences" option is turned on by default in
Microsoft Word.

WORKAROUND
==========

To avoid this behavior, use either of the following methods.

Method 1: Press CTRL+Z to Undo the AutoCorrect Formatting
---------------------------------------------------------

Immediately after Word capitalizes the AutoCorrect entry, press CTRL+Z.

Word will undo the capitalization.

Method 2: Clear the "Capitalize first letter of sentences" Check Box
--------------------------------------------------------------------

On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect, and then click to clear the "Capitalize
first letter of sentences" check box.

NOTE: This permanently disables the "Capitalize first letter of sentences"
function until it is turned on again.

MORE INFORMATION
================

When you have created an AutoCorrect entry that begins with a lowercase letter,
Microsoft Word may capitalize the first character when the AutoCorrect text
begins a new sentence.
