SYMPTOMS
========

When you use roaming profiles for domain users to log on to multiple
workstations, the position of the icons on the desktop may be lost. When this
position is lost, the icons are rearranged on the left-hand side of the screen.

CAUSE
=====

This occurs because icon position is not properly stored on the server that
stores the profile so that they are displayed in the same position on all
workstations.

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this problem, obtain the latest service pack for Windows NT 4.0 or
Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. For additional information,
please see the following article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition. This problem was first corrected in Windows
NT 4.0 Service Pack 4.0 and Windows NT Server 4.0, Terminal Server Edition
Service Pack 4.
