SYMPTOMS
========

When you click Block Quotation on the Legal Pleading toolbar, Word does not
justify the selected paragraph.

CAUSE
=====

When you click the Block Quotation button on the Pleading Template toolbar, Word
indents the paragraph by 1/2-inch on the left and right and aligns the paragraph
at the left indent.

WORKAROUND
==========

To work around this problem, use one of the following methods.

Method 1
--------

1. Select the paragraph.

2. On the Formatting toolbar, click Justify.

Method 2
--------

1. Select the paragraph.

2. On the Format menu, click Paragraph.

3. Click the Indents and Spacing tab.

4. In the Alignment box, click Justified, and then click OK.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the products listed at the
beginning of this article.

Microsoft Word 97 allows you to apply a Block Quotation format to a selected
paragraph. To do this, click Block Quotation on the Legal Pleading toolbar.

A block quotation is a paragraph of text that is indented from the left and right
margins. The text appears to have block form with square left and right edges.
