SYMPTOMS
========
After you run Encarta Setup, when you attempt to restart your computer program,
you receive the following error message:
Windows cannot restart the computer or start MS-DOS mode with message
services running. Please close all running programs and click OK to continue.
This occurs when you have Microsoft Exchange running on your computer.
WORKAROUND
==========
Close Microsoft Exchange, and then click OK to restart your computer.
STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in the 1997 edition of Microsoft
Encarta Encyclopedia for Windows. We are researching this problem and will post
new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
