SYMPTOMS
========

While running Windows NT you may receive the following system process message
indicating you are low on Registry Quota:

  System Process - Low on Registry Quota
  Your system is running low on registry quota. Start the System option in
  the Control Panel and choose the Virtual Memory button to increase the
  registry quota

This message is confusing in that it asks you to perform the steps for Windows NT
3.51.


RESOLUTION
==========

Perform the following the following steps to resolve this error message:

1. Click the Start button, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then
  double-click System.

2. Click the Performance tab and then click Change to increase your Registry
  Size.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 4.0. We are
researching this problem and will post additional information here in the
Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
