SYMPTOMS
========

When you click the Subscription and Registration button in Microsoft Bookshelf
'96-'97, the Subscription and Registration screen states:

  To register:

  by modem, click Subscribe and Register Online and follow the instructions for
  registration only.

However, the Subscribe and Register Online button does not exist.

CAUSE
=====

The Subscribe and Register Online feature is not available in the 16-bit version
of Bookshelf. This is the version installed on computers running Windows 3.x.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Microsoft Bookshelf '96-'97 for
Windows. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in
the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

MORE INFORMATION
================

The Subscribe and Register Online button is available when Bookshelf is
installed on computers running Microsoft Windows 95.
