SYMPTOMS
========

When installing Mastering Visual Basic 4.0, you may receive the error message:

  Setup not completed successfully.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Mastering Visual Basic. We are
researching this problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base as it becomes available.

RESOLUTION
==========

Mastering Visual Basic 1.0 may already be running on the system. Close the Setup
screen product before running Setup a second time.

The error message should state Mastering Visual Basic 1.0 is already running and
should instruct you to close the product before running Setup again.
