SYMPTOMS
========


If you type one or more backslash characters (\) in the Field name, Form name, or
Company name of a MIF form created using the Systems Management Server MIF Form
Generator (MIFGEN.EXE), the backslashes do not appear when you view the
inventoried user information, and they may cause other parts of the text to
disappear.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Systems Management Server
versions 1.0, 1.1 and 1.2. We are researching this problem and will post new
information in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
