SUMMARY

To play a sound (.wav) file across multiple slides, you can attach the .wav file
to a slide transition or insert it as a Media Player object set to play in the
background while the slide show continues.

To Attach a .Wav File to a Slide Transition
-------------------------------------------

1. Select the slide you want to attach the .wav file to in either Slide Sorter
  or Slide View.

2. On the Tools menu, click Slide Transition.

3. In the Sound option, select Other Sound to browse for the desired .wav file,
  and click Open.

To Play a .Wav File in the Background
-------------------------------------

1. In Slide View, insert a media clip object by clicking Object on the Insert
  menu, and then clicking Media Clip on the Object Type list.

2. On the Insert Clip menu, click Sound.

3. Select a .wav file and click Open.

4. Click outside the Media Player object to return to PowerPoint.

5. With the Media Player object selected, click Animation Settings on the Tools
  menu.

6. On the Play Options list, click Play, and then click More.

7. In the More Play Options dialog box, set the following:
  a. Set Start to Automatically x seconds after previous event.

  b. Set Playing Media Clips to Continue Slideshow, Play in Background.

  c. Set Stop After x Slides to the number of slides in your presentation.

8. Click OK, then click OK again to accept the animation settings.

If you have a .wav file attached to a slide transition, you can have it repeat
itself until the next sound is played by selecting the Loop Until Next Sound
check box in the Transitions dialog box.
