SYMPTOMS
========

Kerning the TrueType fonts Arial, Courier New, and Times New Roman when using
extended characters does not change the characters' appearance. For example,
kerning [ASCII 209][ASCII 236] does not result in any visual difference.

CAUSE
=====

System TrueType fonts contain no kerning information for extended characters.

RESOLUTION
==========

There is no workaround.
