SYMPTOMS
========

The error "File or Project not Found" occurs when adding or renaming a file on
Windows NT that has more than 32 characters in the filename.

CAUSE
=====

SourceSafe can't handle filenames that have more than 32 characters.

STATUS

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a bug in the Microsoft products listed at the
beginning of this article.
This bug was corrected in Visual SourceSafe version 4.0.
