SYMPTOMS
========
From your Windows NT Workstation, when you disconnect and reconnect to two
network shares with the same password on a Windows for Workgroups 3.11 computer
running the NetWatcher utility, the following STOP Message appears (on your
Windows NT Workstation client):
STOP: 0x0000000A
When you do the same from your Windows NT Server, the following STOP Message
appears (on your Windows NT Server client):
STOP: 0X0000001E
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
CAUSE
=====
The Windows NT network redirector, RDR.SYS, confuses the security entries for
the two connections. It tries to assign a security entry to the wrong share and
causes an access violation.
RESOLUTION
==========
Changes have been made to RDR.SYS that correct this problem.
STATUS
======
Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.5. This
problem has been corrected in the latest U.S. Service Pack for Windows NT
version 3.5. For information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the
following word in the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):
