in Microsoft Cinemania.

The Cinemania packaging advertises, "More reviews, cinema topics, and a glossary
of movie terms culled from Ephraim Katz's The Film Encyclopedia... ." This
statement does not mean the books entire contents is included in Cinemania.

Microsoft's licensing agreement with the encyclopedia's publisher, Harper
Collins, allows only about 1,000 entries to be included in Microsoft Cinemania.
These entries are primarily confined to biography and topical filmography.

"The Film Encyclopedia" is a comprehensive one-volume film encyclopedia
containing more than 7,000 entries on subjects such as:

- Directors, producers, actors, cinematographers, screenwriters, composers, and
  art directors.

- Motion picture studios and film centers.

- Film related organizations and events.

- Styles, genres, and schools of film making.

- Industry jargon and technical terms.

- Inventions, inventors, and equipment.
