This article contains the path to the 16-bit and 32-bit sound and video drivers
in the Registry used by Microsoft Windows NT version 3.5.

The Registry Editor looks similar to SysEdit. The Registry windows are labeled
as follows:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
------------------

This contains information about the local computer system, including hardware and
operating system data such as bus type, system memory, device drivers, and
startup control data.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT
-----------------

This contains OLE and file-class association data (equivalent to the registry in
Windows for MS-DOS).

HKEY_CURRENT_USER
-----------------

Contains the user profile for the user who is currently logged on, including
environment variables, personal program groups, desktop settings, network
connections, printers, and application preferences.

HKEY_USERS
----------

Contains all actively loaded user profiles, including HKEY_CURENT_USER, which
always refers to a child of HKEY_USERS, and the default profile.

Contains VIDC options, SndEvnts, Wave, and Timer drivers. It is similar to the

Shows installed drivers and the associated name. For example,

Contains the 32-bit drivers associated with wavemapper, wave1 and wave2,
msacm.imaadpcm, .msadpcm, .msgsm610, and vidc. Similar to the [drivers] section
