SYMPTOMS
========

If you attempt to remotely administer a Data Link Control (DLC) network printer,
when you select the Settings button in the Printer Properties dialog box,
nothing happens. Printers connected directly to a Windows NT computer can be
remotely administered.

CAUSE
=====

DLC network printing cannot be administered remotely.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
Advanced Server version 3.1, and Windows NT Workstation and Server versions 3.5,
3.51, and 4.0. We are researching this problem and will post new information
here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
