SYMPTOMS
========

When you run Microsoft Backup for MS-DOS (MSBACKUP.EXE) and load an .SET file
created with Microsoft Backup for Windows (MWBACKUP.EXE), zero files are
selected for backup.

CAUSE
=====

Microsoft Backup for MS-DOS does not correctly read .SET files created with
Microsoft Backup for Windows.

NOTE: Microsoft Backup for Windows does correctly read .SET files created with
Microsoft Backup for MS-DOS.

WORKAROUND
==========

To avoid this problem in the future, create all your .SET files with Microsoft
Backup for MS-DOS.

STATUS
======

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in MS-DOS versions 6.0, 6.2, 6.21,
and 6.22. We are researching this problem and will post new information here in
the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it becomes available.
