SYMPTOMS
========

When you are using Microsoft At Work PC Fax, you may experience the following
problems:

- When you attempt to send a fax, you may receive the following error message:

  BAD ERROR: A successfully transmitted fax could not be processed

- After you successfully receive a fax, you cannot view it in Fax Viewer.

CAUSE
=====

These problems may be caused by a problem in the firmware of the modem that you
are using with At Work PC Fax, or by a problem in the MG3-to-DCX file conversion
process. The above error message occurs most frequently with Class 2 modems.

RESOLUTION
==========

This is a known problem that can occur with the At Work PC Fax software that is
included with Windows for Workgroups version 3.11. This problem does not occur
with the Microsoft Fax software that is included with Microsoft Windows 95. To
resolve this problem, upgrade to Windows 95 or contact your modem manufacturer
to inquire about a possible firmware upgrade that corrects this problem.
