SUMMARY

If the aircraft instrument lights are turned on at dusk, night, or dawn, Map
View will appear black and white.

To turn off the instrument lights, press the L key on the keyboard. With the
instrument lights turned off, Map View will not be black and white; however, it
will appear much darker than when the time of day is set to Day.

Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Flight Simulator for MS-DOS,
version 5.0.
