SYMPTOMS
========

When using Microsoft Windows version 3.1 with Broderbund Software's
PhonenetTalk, the following error message may occur:

  Cannot Select Drive C:

CAUSE
=====

PhonenetTalk versions earlier than 3.0 have problems running with Windows 3.1 on
486/33MHz machines. According to Broderbund technical support, version 3.0
corrects these issues and is compatible with Microsoft Windows version 3.1. The
new name for the PhonenetTalk upgrade is PhonenetPC version 3.0.

RESOLUTION
==========

This error can be corrected by upgrading to PhonenetPC version 3.0 or by
contacting Broderbund technical support to change your driver configuration.

PhonenetTalk is software that allows a personal computer (PC) to communicate
with peripherals on an AppleTalk network. If you attempt to open a file in
Notepad, Cardfile, or any other Windows application while PhonenetTalk is
running, the above error message may occur.
