SUMMARY

The main steps involved in setting up and running the PROFS gateway are

Follow these steps:
1. Install the gateway on your LAN server.
2. Specify the PROFS nodes with which you will communicate. (Optional)
3. Specify the user IDs on those nodes with which you want to communicate.

4. Specify the network(s) that will be indirect through the gateway (for
example, Hub mail). (Optional)
5. Export your local postoffice user list. (Optional)
6. Import user lists from the mainframe system. (Optional)
7. Run the gateway program on the gateway PC to exchange mail with the
mainframe.
