SUMMARY
=======

The VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association) video standard is a reference
to a high resolution video display that may be named variously as Super VGA
(SVGA), VGA-plus, VGA-1024, or extended VGA.

Each of the following resolutions and colors are supported under the VESA
standard:

  Resolution      Color
  ----------      -----

  640 by 480      256 (same as VGA)

  800 by 600      16

  800 by 600      256

  1024 by 768     16 (resolution same as 8514/A, fewer colors)

If a specific resolution is not mentioned, the Super VGA mode refers to a
resolution of 800 by 600 pixels.
