According to Quicken technical support, Quicken 5.0 comes with a PIF file that
must be modified to allow the program to run properly with Microsoft Windows 386
enhanced mode.
Modify the PIF file as follows:
1. Edit the PIF file to specify the correct startup directory.
2. Clear the Background Execution check box because Quicken 5.0 will not run in
the background.
