SUMMARY

The Boeing 747-400 requires you to use the autopilot to sustain level flight.
Adjusting the trim controls will not achieve level flight.

To set the autopilot in Flight Simulator, do the following:

1. Take off and climb to the desired altitude.

2. Press 5 (NAV/COM).

3. Press F (Autopilot Set).

4. Press 4 (Altitude Lock) and enter the desired altitude.

5. Press 5 (Autopilot Master Switch) to turn the autopilot on.

6. Press the SPACEBAR to return to flight mode.
