SUMMARY

The following information summarizes the specifications of the NEC Silentwriter
2 family of printers. The 260, which can emulate an HP LaserJet Series II, uses
font cards "whose character sets correspond to those of one or more LaserJet
Series II cartridges." The 290, a PostScript printer that can emulate the HP
LaserJet Plus, contains 35 resident Adobe scalable fonts.

Note: The 2 290 will typically be used in its native PostScript mode, NOT its
