The Microsoft Windows version 3.0 driver for the IBM 8514/A display adapter
runs in one of two modes automatically, depending on whether the adapter
has the IBM Memory Expansion Kit installed:

- If the kit is not installed, Windows 3.00 runs in a 16-color mode.

- If the kit is installed, Windows runs in a 256-color mode.

Both modes run at a 1024 x 768 resolution.
