- Microsoft LINK for MS-DOS, versions 3.x, 5.01.20, 5.01.21, 5.03, 5.05, 5.1, 5.13, 5.15, 5.3, 5.31.009, 5.5, 5.6
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY
=======

When Microsoft LINK displays an invalid object-module error, it also shows the
object record type and its position in the file.

An assembler or compiler developer can use this information to identify the
incorrect object record.

To avoid the invalid object-module error, verify that the correct version of the
linker is in use. The correct version of the linker can be found in the \bin,
\binb, or \binp directory of the compiler being used.
