SYMPTOMS
========

When you copy graphics or export data from inside an enclosed box in Microsoft
MapPoint 2000, the program may unexpectedly zoom in on the enclosed box.

CAUSE
=====

This behavior can occur if either of the following conditions is true:

- Your pointing device is configured to double-click when you left-click.

- You right-click inside the enclosed box, and then double-click Copy or
  "Export to Excel."

RESOLUTION
==========

To resolve this issue, use one of the following methods.

Copy Graphics Inside the Enclosed Box
-------------------------------------

To do this:

1. Configure your pointing device to single-click when you left-click.

  NOTE: If you are using the Microsoft IntelliPoint software, follow these
  steps.

  a. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

  b. Double-click Mouse.

  c. On the StepSavers tab, under ClickSaver, click to clear the "Single-click
     where you normally double-click" check box.

  d. Click OK, and then close Control Panel.

2. Right-click inside the enclosed box, and then click Copy.

Export Data from the Enclosed Box
---------------------------------

To do this:

1. Configure your pointing device to single-click when you left-click.

  NOTE: If you are using the Microsoft IntelliPoint software, follow these
  steps.

  a. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.

  b. Double-click Mouse.

  c. On the StepSavers tab, under ClickSaver, click to clear the "Single-click
     where you normally double-click" check box.

  d. Click OK, and then close Control Panel.

2. Right-click inside the enclosed box, and then click "Export to Excel."
